Mollydooker Wines – Fantastic Wines or Great Marketing or Both ?

Mollydooker Wines

Mollydooker is the Aussie slang for a left-handed boxer, a Southpaw in UK terms. This winery is not only left-handed, but also completely out of left field and boxes well above its weight. The range is unique, its website is amazing, and the total package is from end to end of the finest quality. It is the product of one family and their off the wall creative outlook.

The Marquis family have built their latest brand, ‘Mollydooker’, after many years working on other projects. The wines use varietals which come from some of the best grape growing regions, McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek & Padthaway in South Australia. They hand select them from their finest vineyards and these wines are a true testament to their commitment to excellence in the winery and their on-going vineyard program. The award-winning wines from Mollydooker include Carnival of Love, Enchanted Path and The Boxer. There are several other tremendous wines in the portfolio.

The wines are very distinctive and made in the unique Mollydooker Fashion. Full of flavour and body and aerated in the unique fashion of the Mollydooker shake. The details of the Mollydooker Shake are shown on the back label, and also on the Mollydooker youtube channel

The wines are characterised not only by amazing flavours but also personalised names, plucked from the life experiences of the family, and paired up with the style and richness of the juices. Interestingly all their wines have a massive fruit hit and are 15%+ ABV.

The labels are all also unique and quirky. Each different label expresses the name and feel of the wine in the bottle. If you were buying wine by the label, these wines would fly off the shelves.

They all have the Mollydooker difference – Things that make you go WOW. Things that make Mollydooker wine a renowned brand on a worldwide basis. In Australia the list of awards goes on and on and includes best red, The Boxer Shiraz, under $30.

Mollydooker Wine is an exciting, out of left field winery in the heart of McLaren Vale, South Australia. The vineyards are situated on the magical Seaview Ridge which, with its ancient soils and Mediterranean climate, is home to some of the most iconic Australian wines. Along the Enchanted Path they have been awarded Telstra South Australian Business of the Year, Australian Winemakers of the Year, Australian Boutique Winemakers of the Year, and many more.

The business is family owned and is now run by Sarah Marquis with the help of her children, Luke (The Blue-Eyed Boy) and Holly (The Gigglepot).

in the UK this distinctive range of wine is mainly available in specialist outlets. It is very much a specialist wine and as such is often difficult to find. Quantities are limited and interestingly the higher priced products tend to sell out quickly due to their scarcity value.

So, what is available here in the UK
