The wines have received many accolades, and we believe this is the result of our focus on nurturing wine from the vine to the glass.

The Tokar Estate vineyard was planted in the late 1990s, in the heart of the Yarra Valley’s ‘golden mile’, on Maddens Lane, Coldstream. This sought after area has produced many of the great wines the region is renowned for.

Our vineyard lies on the gentle north-facing slope that runs from the Maroondah Highway to the foot of the Coldstream Hills, surrounded by acclaimed producers like Yarra Yering and Coldstream Hills winery. This subregion is known to be particularly suited to red varieties. We have 30 acres under vine, including Pinot Noir (12.6 acres), Cabernet Sauvignon (5.94 acres), Tempranillo (4.4 acres), Shiraz (4 acres), and Chardonnay (2 acres).

Tokar Estate

Tokar Estate now has two generations working alongside each other. We have had immense success in recent years. Our wines have received many accolades and we have expanded our sales into the retail and restaurant markets.
Together with our winemaker, Martin Siebert, we are continually working to finesse our bold and distinctive wine style. The hard work and attention to detail that defined the beginnings of Tokar Estate continue to underpin our vineyard practices, and we still look forward to sharing a glass of wine and a meal with old and new friends.
We are proud to invite you to become a part of the next chapter of the Tokar Estate story.

Victoria

Victoria is a small state in area, but home to possibly the largest number of wineries in Australia, most of them which are small family-run operations. Victoria’s diverse topography, combining numerous mountain ranges, like the Grampians and the Victorian Pyrenees throughout the centre; flat plains in the northeast; and hilly, ocean-cooled reaches in the Melbourne area, make its vineyards amongst the most scenic in Australia. An enormous range of wine styles are available, and virtually every varietal flourishes in some part of the state.

Pinot Noir

“The famous grape of Burgundy. The classic style is medium colour, with fragrant berry, violet and gamey-earthy aromas, and soft, full sweet berry flavours, with velvety tannins.
This variety is most suited to a long cool growing season that are found in southern Victoria (noteable Yarra Valley), Adelaide Hills of South Australia, and southern regions of Western Australia.”
