Vinaceous Svengali Cabernet Sauvignon

A beautifully deep almost purple coloured wine with aromas of blackberry, violets and mocha. On the palate it has intense tart black currant, cassis, crunchy cherry notes and toasty, cedary notes from 14-16 months in French oak. It is well structured, full bodied with chewy tannins. Pair with a thick rib eye steak, roast lamb or cheese.

His time working as a lion tamer, explorer & roustabout has equipped Vinaceous with a sharp wit & discerning eye (& nose) for beautiful wine & beauteous women.
Vinaceous is the brain-child of wine marketer Nick Stacy and winemaker Michael Kerrigan. The Vinaceous concept is to produce seven distinctive wines representing seven personalities – men, women, angels, demons, mermaids… and other creatures of mythology! Vinaceous’ aim was to re-create this on the labels, focusing on fun & provocative imagery, based on theatrical/circus posters from the ’30s and ’40s; while the new ‘Burlesque’ Sparkling wine labels pays homage to the ribald dance & culture of this era . “

Western Australia

Regarded as one of Australia’s best wine producing regions. It is synonymous with a new era in Australian wine. Margaret River really began its vineyard life as a result of two research reports from Californian viticulturalist Professor Harold Olmo and the Western Australian scientist Dr John Gladstone. In 1965 Dr Gladstone’s report indicated that the region had all the attributes to produce world quality wines. This advise was acted on by Dr Tom Cullity who set up his Vasse Felix vineyard near Willyabrup, followed by Dr Kevin Cullen and his wife Di who set up Cullen Wines. The climate is regarded as ‘cool’ because of its long slow ripening season. This region is regarded along with Coonawarra and the Yarra Valley as one of the premium Cabernet Sauvignon areas in Australia. The main wine styles: Red – Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet-Merlot, Shiraz; White – Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc, Verdelho.
