Australian Mixed Wine Cases

What is the attraction of Australian Mixed Wine Cases.

Australian Mixed Wine Cases are a simple way of buying gifts or presents for all occasions. They almost always represent excellent value for money and take the pain of deciding exactly what to buy for a friend or loved one away. Even if you know something about wine, the decisions on specific wines are often difficult and achieving a balance is often not straight forward particularly if you have a budget in mind. You often have little information on the recipient’s likes and dislikes, and a mixed case of wine is a safe bet, almost guaranteed to please.

Cases are put together taking account of various factors. These may include colour, nationality, region, style, and or budget. In some cases, the mix may well be a composite of more than one factor. The sender may want to send wines from the local area, or of a certain style, and the recipient may well appreciate cases which evoke memories of visits to the winery or district.

A mixed case of wine may well not be the option chosen by everyone; however, it normally elicits true satisfaction from the chosen recipient. If the receiver is not a regular wine buyer a case of wine put together by somebody else can be a very welcome gift. A case is not normally sold as the sum of the parts. Most retailers offer discounts on their cases as it encourages the buyers to potentially invest more in the gift.

So, what choice of mixed cases of wine do we offer.

1. Australian Mixed Wine Cases of Different Colours- Price Range £70-£90

Red – In putting together a red wine case you need to look at including a range of wines suitable for all different types of individuals, and a selection that reflects the diversity of wines offered. In trying to satisfy all tastes there is an inevitability that some wines will be enjoyed more than others, but if there are no real outlandish choices, the selection should ensure satisfaction. White – White wine cases tend to be dominated by the normal suspects, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, and Chardonnay. These varietals are grown across the country, and interestingly have very different styles and tastes wherever they are produced. You have therefore to balance tastes as well as expectations. Mixed – Three reds and three whites, almost the perfect compromise for most households whose occupants have a range of tastes and appreciations. For us this is often the most difficult case to put together. What do you leave out? Do you use completely different wines from above, or simply more of the same. You can find out by looking at our selection, by clicking here

2. Premium Australian Wines – Price Range up to £600

Special Six of the Best £160 – £170 – Here you get the opportunity to be considerably more expressive in your choice and quality of wines. The price will deliver excellent premium wines which the recipient would probably not buy for themselves, so it really is seen as a great gift. Not the sort of wine you would normally see in a supermarket, but the wine you would always love to try. A great mixed case of wine.

Australian Wines Connoisseurs Choice £200- £230 – As with the previous case, the price difference represents a substantial step up in quality, A true Connoisseurs Choice. Wines you may not normally choose, but here you have the opportunity to try and appreciate the difference. Six exceptional wines are included, and you can see them listed and buy them here.

An Ultimate Red Collection £550+ – Not for the faint hearted or those without substantial funds. A true collection of some of the best red wines from Australia. If you fear nothing you can buy this case by clicking here.

4. Australian Regional Wine Cases – Send a case of wine from the area in which you live, or the region you most enjoyed visiting.

     Western Australia

Seen as the premier wine region in Australia, and includes the iconic Margaret River and its associated wineries, this Bordeaux style area has some truly great wines in its portfolio and a selection is available here.

     New South Wales

Australia’s first vines were planted in New South Wales on the Farm Cove foreshore. The first commercial wine was made there, and the first wine exported to England – by Gregory Blaxland in 1823.

     Victoria

Victoria is a small state in area, but home to possibly the largest number of wineries in Australia, most of them which are small family-run operations.

You can send wines from each of these areas by clicking on the regions above

5. Wine by Style – The wine is offered in a three-bottle case as a way of buying special wine for a special person. Six bottle cases are also often available, but budget considerations often come in here.

Sparkling – In this case, the style is sparkling, and this makes a great gift for any sort of occasion or get together. Three sparkling whites from different countries and with different grape components.

Rose – Three great Australian Rose wines. Rose is not as prevalent in Australia as it is in other markets, and this is a chance to sample some great rose wine.
