Delivery Details

Our couriers provide a service which advises the recipient of a 1-hour delivery slot, and also allows the recipient to make changes to this if necessary. This is obviously a great benefit in the delivery process. Without a mobile number any deliveries which have issues (nobody in, address problems) may be delayed and potentially returned to us. We do not use the phone numbers for any marketing purposes, and we comply with all local data protection regulations.


Where we deliver to

We offer a delivery service to all of the UK. The courier companies we use have some of the best reputations for delivering liquids safely. The delivery dates quoted in our system are from the time we dispatch your order and in a lot of circumstances that can be the same day as we receive it. During December we work 7 days a week but during the rest of the year we do not open Saturday or Sunday. None of our couriers currently operate on a Sunday. Working days are normally Monday to Friday and our service is based on this

Charges vary depending upon where in the UK (or Europe) the order is going. For the most part charges are quoted to England, Wales and Lowland Scotland (before 16:00) with additional options available for “Before 12:00” and “Saturday” deliveries. When you type in the post code the options and charges for that postcode are listed. In some remote areas of the Scottish Highlands and Islands there is only a 2-5 day service.

If a delivery is returned to us due to a lack of response from the recipient, or if the order has been carded and no response has been received, after the second attempt there will be a charge for redelivery. We are charged by the couriers for returns and redelivery and we have to pass this on. Providing mobile phone numbers or an Email address should prevent this. The redelivery charge is the same as the original delivery charge.

Delivery times

  • We aim to despatch within 3 days of confirming the order. Mainland UK are booked on a “Next Day” service. However, we cannot guarantee “next day” as deliveries are made by a third party. There are situations which are out of our control.
  • Scottish Highlands may take an additional day or two.
  • Deliveries are made between 7am & 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
  • If you require delivery on a specific day/date, please advise in the ‘Additional Notes’ on the order page.

Delivery instructions

The delivery company will not normally leave the order without a signature, therefore on the delivery address, please try your upmost to provide an address and mobile number where somebody is able to sign for the order. If you are happy that the order can be left safely, for example in a porch, please put this information in the delivery instructions.

If there is nobody to accept the order, the delivery company will leave a calling card with instructions. On the card will be the contact number for the depot. Please phone them to arrange collection or a more convenient time for delivery. If after 2 days the courier has not had a response to the card the order will be returned to us as undelivered, and it will incur an additional delivery charge to re-send. This is £24 which reflects the cost to us of collection and redelivery.

How you can help

There is space provided for you to enter a phone number or email address for the recipient. We will only use this number/address in case of difficulties with the delivery, but it can often save a lot of time and effort, particularly with a London address, if we can pass this information on to the courier. Please enter the phone number if at all possible. If no mobile number is available, please provide an email address.

Our courier will send a text or email giving a more accurate window for delivery. But of course, they can only do this if there is a valid mobile/address number entered in the order.
