The Bird in Hand range is a limited release of premium quality wines created from the best parcels of fruit from every vintage.
Bird in Hand Sparkling Rose is made from predominantly Pinot Noir, Bird in Hand’s Sparkling is made from varieties chosen for their intense
aromatics and elegant flavour profiles.
TASTING NOTE
The result is a light, delicate sparkling, pearl pink in colour, with floral notes and hints of fresh strawberry and citrus blossom on the nose. Its lively palate evokes flavours of fleshy red berry fruits with a delicate bead,
leading to a refreshing, clean finish.
VINIFICATION DETAILS
Crushed and destemmed straight to press with minimal time on skins ensured the extraction of only the lightest of colour. Individual batches from each vineyard were kept separate right up until blending, to guarantee
the winemakers could select the best fruit based on flavour, complexity and cohesiveness.

Beginning in 1997 in South Australia with the lofty goal of creating internationally recognized wines, their story is one of passion and determination. Inside of a single generation, their vision and dedication to quality continues to manifest in some of the world’s finest flavors.
The Adelaide Hills is one of Australia’s most charming wine regions and home to a large number of premium wine producers. The wine history of the area is similar to many other wine regions: industry developed after the first plantings in the 1840s, only to struggle for economic survival as consumer tastes changed with resurgence in the 1970s – most notably Brian Croser with Petaluma. Today it is very much a boutique vineyard and winery region that is pitching for quality and winning awards. This region has the coolest climate of all South Australian wine regions. Nestled in the Hills, its climate influenced by altitude (350m to 700m) and winds from the St Vincents Gulf. Main wine styles: White – Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling; Red – Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz.
